about

My name is Thorsten Hehn. I am a communications engineer with a PhD in LDPC codes and optimized Belief-Propagation decoding. Recently, I decided to dive into qLDPC and quantum computing.

This website shall support everyone starting in quantum computing with overview presentations and articles. Besides the basics, our main focus will be on qLDPC and decoding algorithms.

background

My original research is on stopping sets, trapping sets, and multiple-bases belief-propation decoding. To transition to qLDPC, I read into quantum computation, quantum algorithms, and quantum error correction. One lecture series I really recommend is John Watrous's course at IBM Learning.
